Alternate History: 300 words might be a little hard to fill, as there isn't too much difference between the English dub of Sailor Moon and the original Japanese version. The English dub seems to take place in America, or at least has Englishcized everything Japanese about it. Lita went to Crossroads Middle School. Riceballs were donuts. All of the characters had English first names (Amy/Ami, Raye/Rei, Serena/Usagi, Mina/Minako), Molly had an annoying Brooklyn accent, Tuxedo Mask was Darien instead of Mamoru, and so on. A few episodes were also cut in the English version because they couldn't find a way to censor it appropriately for kids, or just because. Later episodes would have Sailor Uranus and Neptune as cousins instead of lovers, but as Lita is taken from well before that point, it doesn't affect her opinion of them either way. In fact, many of the later dubbed episodes stuck pretty close to the Japanese versions while still trying to carry forward the continuity from the earlier episodes. Also the English dub had adorable pop songs added to it. Most of the differences are just changes in terms, such as The Dark Kingdom being referred to as The Negaverse. Her username originates from a particular scene where all the girls are arguing over who is the most qualified person to play Snow White. In the original, Sailor Jupiter says she should be Snow White because she has the biggest breasts. In the English version, she states instead that she has the most talent...while still pointing to her chest. Another big change that was made took place during the big finale against Queen Beryl. Originally Sailor Jupiter was killed while fighting off the Doomsday Girls. In the English dub, they say instead that each of them was simply captured once they were defeated.

Personality: Lita is a little self-conscious about her height. Her ex-boyfriend dumped her because he said he didn't like tall girls. In reality she's not THAT tall, being only 5'6" - 5'7", but compared to her other classmates she's definitely Amazonian in comparison. Not only is she tall, she's also incredibly strong, even when she isn't a Sailor Scout. She's hucked monsters over her head, lifted her skating partner when he didn't seem able to handle her weight, and usually serves as the strong one in the Sailor Scout team. She picks up Molly when she passes out, and frequently tackles or grabs her friends to move them out of the way of danger.

Because of her size and strength, Lita's a natural fighter, and excels at sports and kung fu. She has a reputation for being a ruffian, and was apparently kicked out of her previous school for fighting. She speaks pretty casually for the most part, her manner of speech brusque (such as when she says she'll "blast this broad" or yells at a thug to "move his carcass").

But despite all of this, she's actually very feminine, and a domestic power house. Home economics is her best subject in school, and she enjoys cleaning and cooking. Her dream is to run her own restaurant. She enjoys bringing a big lunch to school, not only because she has a big appetite, but because she really enjoys sharing her cooking with others. Complimenting her cooking skills seems to be a quick way to win her friendship. She's also proved to be exceptionally graceful, an accomplished ice skater seemingly on par with Olympic gold medalists, and a good enough ballroom dancer that she's able to pass the final course of a princess class (that she crashed with the others to check up on Serena). It's also mentioned that she likes gardening, and is fond of roses.

Though Lita isn't exceptionally booksmart, she does seem perceptive and savvy about other people. When she first meets Serena and Raye, she remarks that the two of them are really close even though they're arguing, and says they're almost like sisters. She also seems to be pretty good with animals, charming Luna right from the get-go. She's practical and independent, able to live on her own.

(Note: The canon is inconsistent about the status of Lita's parents. The official anime profile book mentions that her parents died in a plane crash, and because of this Lita is afraid of planes. But a much later episode during the Sailor Saturn arc she mentions she can't have a cat because her mother is allergic, and she seems fine on a plane with the Sailor Stars. Because both of these instances took place long after the release of the book and the end of the original English dub, I decided to stick with the plane accident and keep her fear of planes just because it will make things more interesting when she has to deal with airships.)

Lita is impulsive and quick to react on gut instinct and her feelings. She has quite a temper, snapping at Serena when she first approaches her at lunch because she thinks she'll be mean or skittish like the rest of the students, or shouting at Andrew for bumping into her and knocking her over. Against the Doom and Gloom Girls, she rushes them furiously when they create an illusion to make it seem as if they've captured Andrew from the arcade. She yells at video game consoles, flips thugs, and threatens fierce revenge against monsters from the Negaverse who hurt her friends. Even after she becomes close with the other scouts, she can still snap at them when they get on her nerves, like when she demands Serena 'can it' when she starts flailing and crying over Andrew having a girlfriend.

Even though she does have a prominent temper, she's generous and thoughtful of her friends. She's stable, reliable, supportive and quick to offer her help, whether it's in the form of cooking lessons or just hanging out with a good shopping trip or a treat at the cafe. She just happens to also be good at fighting, and has no problem solving a crisis with her fists. When the scouts regain their memories and Luna apologizes for pulling them out of their normal lives, Lita cheerfully declares that she doesn't need a boring normal life and prefers the excitement and action of being Sailor Jupiter.

But Lita's most prominent and memorable trait is the way she acts around cute guys. Of the five, she seems to be the most boy-crazy, and goes dreamy-eyed whenever she spots a new crush, saying they remind her of her old boyfriend Freddy. She loves to flirt, and she's fairly aggressive when she pursues someone she likes. But once she has them, her demeanor seems to change. She blushes and fidgets happily, becoming demure and even charming. She has her heart broken several times in the series, but always bounces back quickly the moment she spots someone else who catches her attention. She likes friendly competition and doesn't seem to have any problem about going after Andrew at the same time as Serena. She's actually supportive and proactive about it, not in the least bit jealous or resentful. Lita also isn't above a little sabotage, as she encourages Andrew's girlfriend Rita to pursue her career in Africa so she can go after Andrew herself. She seems to know it isn't going to work, but she laughs and says there's nothing wrong with flirting in the meantime anyway.

Third-Person Sample: The yellow birds whipped around the corner, coming up on the last leg of the race. Lita was cheering as loudly as anyone, throwing her fist forward, another hand cupped to the side of her face to project her shouts. "Come on, Buffalo Bill!" She turned to her companion, her determined enthusiasm relaxing into a confident smile.

"It might look like he's going to take last place, but I got a hot tip that he always does this until the last leg. Then he puts on a burst of speed and passes all the competition. With the winnings I get, dinner's on me!" She winked, then went back to shouting encouragement at her favored chocobo.

It looked to be working. It stamped its feet and ruffled its feathers, throwing its head back and letting loose a mighty wark.

"Oh! Here it comes!" Lita gasped, gripping the railing and leaning forward with an intense, expectant stare.

Then the chocobo squated down in the middle of the track and folds its head against its wing to take a nap. The rest of the birds thundered ahead, leaving the sleeping chocobo and its surprised rider in the dust. It didn't even come close to crossing the finishing line.

"WHAT?!" Lita gripped the railing hard, almost doubled over the bar as she leaned forward in a mix of shock and outrage. "But he said it was a sure thing! I put all my gil on that bird! Why that slimy no good snakeoil salesman...!"

Gritting her teeth, she rolled up her sleeves, fully prepared to stalk into the crowd and find the grubby liar and shake him until money fell out of his ears. If he cheated Lita out of her money, then it was likely he'd done the same to plenty of other people. And THAT was a bet Lita was positive she could make.

Mognet Sample: [The following letter arrives on pretty pink stationery, with a delicate rose border on the bottom edge. The handwriting isn't quite as elegant, but it's competent and easily legible.]

Hey guys, Lita here! I've got a couple of questions I was hoping you could help me out with. First of all, I'm working on this Monk job right now. It's not too different from the stuff I knew back home, but I'd still like to work on my training. Don't want to be left behind, you know? I just wanted to check and see who might be interested in that. Just be warned that I'm pretty strong, so don't worry about holding back, all right?

Second, I know it's kind of a stretch, but I heard there was a big botanical garden at the festival you guys had before I got here. Did anyone take home any of the roses there? I'd like to buy a few pots if you've got any to spare. Thanks!

Limit Break: Jupiter Oak Evolution - Sailor Jupiter's strongest attack, and one she wouldn't normally have access to given her canon point. Lita surrounds herself in leaf-shaped bursts of magical energy before hurtling them at her enemy. This is a magic attack, but doesn't adhere strictly to any element.
